Crypto Staking Calculator: APR, APY and Token Rewards

Enter a hypothetical token balance and annual rate. Compare accrued rewards with validator commission and a one-time network fee. All prices and rates are entered by you.

How it works & examples

Understand the calculation

Staking projections depend on reinvestment assumptions

Compounding means adding a reward to the balance before the next reward is calculated. A simple one-year illustration with 1,000 units and a 10% annual rate produces 100 units without intermediate reinvestment. More frequent compounding changes the result only if the quoted rate and timing are interpreted consistently; APR and APY are not interchangeable inputs.

Staking yield alone does not include changes in the token's market price; model the other component in Crypto Profit Calculator — Fees, ROI and Break-even.

A growing token balance does not guarantee a growing fiat value. Token prices, fees, lockups and changes in the reward rate can all change the economic outcome. This calculator models a stated scenario; it is not a live yield feed, casino cashback calculation or promise that the assumed rate will remain available.

How to use the tool

Estimate token-denominated staking rewards without confusing APR, APY and crypto price movement.

  1. Enter your token balance, manual nominal APR and holding period.
  2. Choose compounding frequency, validator commission on rewards and one-time network fee.
  3. Compare rewards, effective APY and token balance after the chosen network cost.

Understanding your result

APR is the annual nominal input. Validator commission reduces the nominal reward rate. More frequent compounding increases effective APY within this fixed-rate model. The network fee is subtracted only once, not included in APY.

Scope and limitations

Actual protocol yields are variable. This tool does not model changes to token price, reinvestment eligibility, slashing, custody, lockups, exchange rates or taxes.

Before you rely on the result

Worked example

With 1,000 SOL, assumed 6% APR, monthly compounding and a 5% validator cut, the reward is about 58.51 SOL before a one-time 2 SOL network cost. This is a token-quantity scenario only.

Can the calculator convert this into USD?

Not automatically: multiplying by an assumed future token price would add a separate speculative price scenario.

Questions about this calculation

Does a high APR guarantee these rewards?

No. APR is entirely your input, while actual yields can fluctuate and token value can fall.

Does the network cost reduce APY?

The one-time network cost reduces the final net token total, but the displayed effective APY is before that fixed cost.

When is Crypto Staking Calculator: APR, APY and Token Rewards the right tool?

Estimate token-denominated staking rewards without confusing APR, APY and crypto price movement.

How should I read the result from Crypto Staking Calculator: APR, APY and Token Rewards?

APR is the annual nominal input. Validator commission reduces the nominal reward rate. More frequent compounding increases effective APY within this fixed-rate model. The network fee is subtracted only once, not included in APY.

What can Crypto Staking Calculator: APR, APY and Token Rewards not tell me?

Actual protocol yields are variable. This tool does not model changes to token price, reinvestment eligibility, slashing, custody, lockups, exchange rates or taxes.
