How it works & examplesUnderstand the calculation
Crypto profit includes the cost of entering and leaving a trade
The profit calculator models a purchase and a sale using prices and fees you supply. Without fees, buying 0.01 BTC at 50,000 per BTC costs 500; selling the same amount at 55,000 returns 550, giving 50 profit and 10% return on the original cost. Fees reduce that result and can move the break-even selling price.
Crypto trading P/L and the amount credited to a casino are different cash flows; measure transfer costs in Crypto Casino Deposit Fee Calculator.
Keep quantities, price currency and fee units consistent. A percentage trading fee is not the same as a fixed network fee. This is a trade scenario, not a live portfolio or a casino-session ledger. For deposits, withdrawals and a remaining casino balance, use the Win/Loss Tracker instead; price changes and gameplay results are different sources of profit.

How to use the tool
Compute a completed or hypothetical crypto trade. This is profit maths, not a BTC/USD conversion or live market quote.
- Choose an asset label and ONE display currency for every amount.
- Enter buy/sell prices, coin quantity or purchase notional, and both percentage/fixed fees.
- Compare actual net proceeds, cost basis, ROI and the selling price that would break even.
Understanding your result
Purchase cost includes buy fees. Sale proceeds deduct sell fees. Net P&L is sale proceeds minus purchase cost; ROI divides that figure by purchase cost. Break-even includes fees on both legs.
Scope and limitations
Manual data only; no live market feeds, exchange-rate conversion, slippage, custody fees, financing, staking yields, tax lots or tax rules. If input prices use different currencies, the result is invalid.
Before you rely on the result
- How the calculation works
Formulas, assumptions, rounding and model limits are documented on the methodology page.
- Check the current inputs
Use the odds, RTP, fees, bonus terms or other values currently shown by the operator or market.
Worked example
Buying 0.25 BTC at $40,000 costs $10,000 before fees. At 0.5% on each trade, buy cost is $10,050 and a sale at $52,000 yields $12,935 net. Profit = $2,885; ROI ≈ 28.71%.
Why is gross gain not net gain?
Gross price movement ignores fees. Break-even sale price here is about $40,402.01, higher than the original buy price.
Questions about this calculation
Does this calculate crypto taxes?
No. Tax basis, taxable events and filing rules vary by jurisdiction. This tool only computes an illustrative trade P&L.
Can I enter the amount spent instead of coins?
Yes. Purchase-amount mode treats your amount as the buy notional BEFORE buy fees, then derives coin quantity from your entered price.
